LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I’m a white woman of Ashkenazi descent living and working on on unceeded Lunaapehoaking land.

The separation of people from land and the disconnection between land and our bodies is a purposeful tool of colonization to further dehumanization. In any discussion of systems of oppression and oppressed groups, land should not be left out in its inherent relation between the two.

I recognize the history of genocide perpetrated on Indigenous communities and commit to learn more about and support the work of Indigenous calls for Justice, Sovereignty, Land Back, Environmental Justice and leadership etc.
